Abstract

Background: The pain felt by the respondent will have a worsening impact and can interfere with activities. The purpose of this case study was to determine the effect of implementing deep breathing relaxation therapy to reduce the intensity of postoperative fracture pain. Methods: The method in this study used a case study by selecting patients according to the inclusion criteria and then conducting observations, interviews, and physical examinations. Subject : Postoperative fracture pain patient with mild to moderate pain intensity and willing to be a respondent. Pain analysis was measured using the Numeric Rating scale. Results: The analysis showed a decrease in the level of postoperative fracture pain after implementation. In respondents with pain scale 6 to scale 2. Conclusion: Implementation of deep breathing relaxation therapy is able to reduce pain levels in postoperative fracture patients.
