PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus) is a congenital heart disease which is usually caused by failure of the closure of the DA (Ductus Arteriosus) at the time of birth and also after birth. Hospitalization stress in children can affect child care while in hospital and can affect healing. To overcome the problem of children with stress hospitalization can be done by non-pharmacological methods, one of which is music therapy. Music therapy can also rehabilitate and educate children and adults who are experiencing psychological or psychological disorders. To describe music therapy as an effort to reduce hospitalization stress in pediatric patients with PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus) at Dr. Sardjito Hospital. The method used in this case study research is descriptive method which is a problem solving procedure regarding efforts to reduce stress due to hospitalization with music therapy in pediatric patients with PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus). The case study subjects were in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria that had been determined using the observation sheet instrument, music therapy SOPs, the type of music to be used. The results of music therapy research to reduce hospitalization stress in the first action, the initial score after being observed using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) observation sheet 24 (moderate stress) after 22 (moderate stress), the second preimplementation score 22 (moderate stress). ) post implementation a score of 16 (moderate stress), the third pre-implementation score 16 (moderate stress) post implementation a score of 12 (mild stress). Music therapy can reduce hospitalization stress in pediatric patients with PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus).
