Abstract

Ovarium cancer is a malignant tumor that ranks 3rd of the 10 most common cancers in women. One of the treatments for ovarian cancer is laparotomy. This laparotomy operation is an elective or emergency operation that causes a certain tension to trigger anxiety in the patient. One way to overcome anxiety in preoperative ovarian cancer patients is with dhikr therapy which has been proven to be able to reduce anxiety and can stabilize the emotions of patients who experience anxiety. Providing dhikr therapy to reduce the anxiety of preoperative ovarian cancer patients at Bagsal Bugenvil 2 Dr. Sardjito Hospital using the HAR-S scale assessment. This study uses a descriptive method with a case study research design. It was carried out on 1 respondent who experienced preoperative anxiety for ovarian cancer, was Muslim, and with the condition of the patient being fully conscious (Gcs 15) which was carried out for 2 days, starting on April 4, 2022. In the initial study data, it was found that respondents experienced moderate anxiety with a score of 25 and were able to reduce their anxiety in the first intervention after being given dhikr therapy with a score of 17. Mild anxiety, then on the 2nd intervention or 1 hour before the patient entered the operating room, the result was a score of 19 Mild anxiety. Dzikir therapy can reduce the anxiety scale of preoperative ovariun cancer patients in the bougenvillea ward 2 Dr. Sardjito Hospital.
