Abstract

Introduction: Cancer patients receiving chemotherapy treatment often show symptoms of physical and emotional stress, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, many cancer patients feel afraid and anxious to control or undergo chemotherapy. Research Methods: The research design used correlation with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique used accidental sampling with a total of 40 cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. The measuring instrument uses two questionnaires, namely the modified The Ways of Coping Questionnaire and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale. Analysis of the data using the Spearman Rank statistical test. Research Results: The results of the Spearman Rank test with a P value < , which is 0.000 < 0.05 and the correlation coefficient value is 0.571. Conclusion: There is a relationship between family coping strategies and stress levels in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy during the covid-19 pandemic. Suggestion: Be a reference for other researchers to examine the factors that influence the stress level of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy during the covid-19 pandemic.
