GAMBARAN SELF EFFICACY DAN KECEMASAN CAREGIVER PADA PASIEN STROKE DI RUANG NEUROLOGI

Abstract

The caregivers have a lot of anxiety of taking care the stroke patients. The survey on October 16, 2021 at Bethesda Hospital Yogyakarta to 10 stroke patients’families showed that as many as 6 people said they had self-efficacy and were hit by anxiety disorder because they were not ready as caregivers. This study aims to describe about self-efficacy and anxiety disorder experienced by the stroke patients’caregivers in Neurology Room Hospital Yogyakarta in 2022. This research uses descriptive quantitative method to measure the efficacy instrument at General Self - Efficacy and Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale to calculate anxiety variable. The population of all stroke patients’caregivers is 37 and  calculated with the accidental sampling. The data was then analyzed univariately to determine the mean, median, mode and frequency distribution. The results of this study indicate 1)The majority of respondents are female, aged 26-45 years, mostly from high school education level, work as labors, have the average income 1,500,000-2,500,000, and never taken care of stroke patients. 2)The average level of self-efficacy is 32.78, categorized as moderate level, 3)The average level of anxiety disorder is 26.16, classified as moderate anxiety. The level of self-efficacy and anxiety disorder experienced by stroke patients’caregivers are categorized as moderate level.The further researchers need to explore more upon the causes or the factors related to self-efficacy and anxiety disorder experienced by stroke patients’caregivers deeply with the observations and interviews method.
