PENGARUH TEKNIK RELAKSASI PROGRESIF TERHADAP PENURUNAN TINGKAT KECEMASAN PADA PASIEN HIPERTENSI DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS HIANG

Hypertension or high blood pressure disease is a chronic condition characterized by increased blood pressure on the walls of the arteries. Based on WHO (World Health Organization) data, it is known that people with hypertension increased from 940 million people in 2019 to 972 million people in 2020, this figure increased to 27,2% in 2021 and it is estimated that the number of hypertension cases will continue to increase in 2020. 2025 to 1.5 billion or about 29% of the total population worldwide, the increase in cases of hypertension occurs, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia, around 80%. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Progressive Relaxation Techniques on Reducing Anxiety Levels in Hypertensive Patients in the Hiang Health Center Work Area in 2022. The research design used in this study was a Quasy-Experiment with One Group Pretest and Posttest approaches. The sampling technique used in this research is non-probability sampling, more specifically the research uses purposive sampling technique. The results of the research conducted by researchers showed that the results of statistical tests obtained p-value = 0.000, namely (p 0.05) meaning that there was an effect of progressive relaxation therapy on reducing anxiety levels in patients with hypertension. Suggestions for Puskesmas It is hoped that this progressive relaxation therapy can be included in nursing actions at the puskesmas for non-pharmacological treatment of patients with hypertension in overcoming problems of anxiety levels and can provide health education every day
