PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN PEMERIKSAAN PAYUDARA SENDIRI (SADARI) DENGAN MEDIA FLIPCHART TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DETEKSI DINI KANKER PAYUDARA REMAJA PUTRI KELAS XII DI SMAN 2 PANGKALAN BUN

Abstract

One of the cancers with a high mortality rate is breast cancer. The incidence of breast cancer does not only occur in the age range of 30-50 years. Breast cancer sufferers have also been found in their teens. So that early detection as an effort to prevent the increase in mortality from breast cancer is needed. BSE can reduce mortality from breast cancer by as much as 20%. In the learning process, BSE can use media to understand and strengthen memory, namely using flipcharts. Flipchart includes print media that is easy, simple and effective. To determine the effect of health education on breast self-examination (Breast self examination) using flipchart media on the knowledge of early detection of breast cancer in class XII female adolescents at SMAN 2 Pangkalan Bun. This type of research is pre-experimental, with a one-group pre-test post-test design, a sample of 57 respondents, using a proportional stratified random sampling technique. Knowledge measurement is done by questionnaire, using Wilcoxon test. The results showed that the pre-test knowledge level of students was in the good category of 7.0%, 54.4% sufficient, and 38.6% less. Post test results are good 77.2%, 22.8% is enough. Wilcoxon test results obtained p value 0.000. There is an effect of health education on breast self-examination (Breast self examination) with flipchart media on the knowledge of early detection of breast cancer in class XII girls at SMAN 2 Pangkalan Bun.
