LITERATURE REVIEW EFEKTIFITAS MODERN DRESSING DALAM PROSES PERAWATAN LUKA TERHADAP PENYEMBUHAN LUKA DIABETIK

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a health problem due to insulin deficiency and insulin resistance that causes high glucose in the blood. A frequent complication is diabetic ulcers, which are the condition of tissue deformity partially or completely. If don’t get proper care then it can cause a high risk of infection until lead to amputation. Modern dressings are an attempt to keep wounds in moist conditions with the aim of helping the wound repair process to maintain fluid and tissue loss and cell death. To know the effectiveness of modern dressing in the Wound Care Process toward Diabetic Wound Healing. The methods for data collection used descriptive analysis and literature studies. Both journals used 2 respondents with diabetic ulcers who were given modern dressing treatment for 3 days. In the first journal there was an average decrease of 4 points while in the second journal there was an average decrease of 7.5 points.Modern dressings are effective in the process of wound treatment toward diabetic wound healing.
