STIGMA MASYARAKAT PADA PASIEN TB (TUBERCULOSIS) PARU DI PUSKESMAS WAIBHU

Stigma is very influential on the pulmonary TB treatment program, where the main problems in the treatment of pulmonary TB are delays in treatment and discontinuation of treatment. The cause of this problem is the emergence of a stigma that makes pulmonary TB patients avoid treatment. Based on initial data collection at the Waibhu Health Center in March 2022, in 2021 from January - December there were 61 pulmonary TB patients who spread in various working areas of the Waibhu Health Center. 33 of them were male and 28 were female. Research objective: to find out the description of community stigma in patients with pulmonary TB (Tuberculosis) at the Waibhu Health Center. This study used a quantitative descriptive method. in July 2022. The research sample was 30 people using accidental sampling technique. This questionnaire was taken from Daniels., et al (2022) with the results of the validity test using the Spearman Correlation Coefficient. Based on age, gender, information exposure, perception and stigma, it showed that most of the respondents were aged 36-45 years as many as 11 respondents (36.7%). Based on the type of women, most of the respondents are male as many as 17 respondents (56.7%). Based on whether they have a family of TB sufferers, the respondents said No, as many as 30 respondents (100%). Based on whether they received information about TB respondents said No as many as 27 respondents (90%). Based on Stigma, most of the respondents have high stigma as many as 30 respondents (100%).
