The Covid-19 pandemic creates negative effects, including stressful conditions that also occur in the academic environment. Individuals may consider stressful events as both challenges and threats. In an academic context, when educational goals are perceived as challenging stressors, this condition will lead to a sense of competence. Inversely, when the perception of educational goals is perceived as a threat, it can develop stress that leads to lower academic achievement. This study explores the description of academic stress experienced by nursing students and identifies what factors related to academic stress on the academic achievement among nursing students. A descriptive method was utilized with the respondents of 66 nursing students who were randomly selected with the inclusion criteria of an active student, being involved in online learning, and being willing to participate in the study. From the results, it could be seen that the majority of respondents were women. Most of the respondents expressed satisfaction with the condition of the learning environment and also with the condition of the home. Yet, factors related to academic stress do not provide a strong correlation to academic achievement. Most respondents have a high academic perception, which is reflected in their belief in future success. Thus, further study is required, especially related to the academic evaluation process where the majority of respondents perceive the evaluation process as a source of stress. Thus, modification of the evaluation method can be an alternative solution to the academic evaluation process.
