IMPLEMENTASI FIRM COUNTER PRESURE DAN PIJAT OKSITOSIN SEBAGAI TERAPI KOMPLEMENTER DALAM CONTINUITY OF CARE

Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate in Indonesia based on data from the Ministry of Health in 2018 is 346 per 100,000 live births. The causes of maternal death are bleeding, preeclampsia and infection. In addition, the cause of the high MMR is three delay, namely late decision making, late to get to health facilities and late getting treatment. Based on this, continuity of care needs to be implemented as an effort to reduce MMR. The provision of continuous upbringing can use several complementary techniques. The techniques used in this obstetric care are Firm Counter Pressure to reduce labor pain during first stage labour and Oxytocin Massage to help stimulate the production of the hormone oxytocin which plays a role in breast milk production. This study is to provide firm counter pressure as an effort to reduce labor pain and oxytocin massage as an effort to increase breast milk production. A qualitative research with a comprehensive case study approach or Contonuity Of Care. Continuity Of Care is carried out on an ongoing basis from pregnancy to the puerperium. After being carried out firm counter pressure during first stage of labour maternity mothers are calmer in the face of childbirth because the pain is reduced and breast milk production is sufficiently indicated by the baby's weight increasing. Firm Counter Pressure helps reduce first stage labor pain and oxytocin massage helps smooth milk production.
