GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN PASIEN TENTANG CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 19 DI PUSKESMAS WAIBHU KABUPATEN JAYAPURA

Abstract

Coronavirusdisease 19 (Covid-19) is an infectious disease caused by a new type of coronavirus that became a pandemic and spread rapidly throughout the country including Indonesia. Efforts to break the chain of spread of Covid-19 require a good understanding and knowledge of all elements including patients. This type of research is descriptive quantitative in 134 patients who visited at the Waibhu Health Center. Samples were obtained by purposive sampling. Patient’s knowledge about Covid-19 at the Waibhu Public health center in Jayapura Regency is 69 (51.5%) with good of knowledge, 54 patients (40.3%) with sufficient knowledge category and the category of lack of knowledge as manu as 11 patients (8.2%). Most patients have sufficient knowledge due to the ongoing education about Covid-19. Counseling is a health education that can be given to patients, especially patients at the Waibhu Publich Health Center.
