PENERAPAN TEKNIK RELAKSASI BENSON UNTUK MENURUNKAN NYERI PADA PASIEN POST PARTUM DENGAN SECTIO CAESAREA DI RSUD SLEMAN

Sectio caesarea is a surgical procedure by giving an incision in the front wall of the uterus to assist the delivery process. For sectio caesarea action by breaking the continuity of the tissue that will issue pain receptors. One way to reduce pain with non-pharmacological therapy is the Benson relaxation technique. Of this case study is to describe the application of Benson's relaxation technique in reducing pain in post partum patients with sectio caesarea at Sleman Hospital. Used in this case study used a descriptive method which was applied to 1 post partum patient with sectio caesarea who experienced pain in the surgical wound and who was able to sit up. The application of the Benson relaxation technique begins with an assessment of anti-pain drugs and an assessment of the pain scale with a numerical scale. Benson's relaxation technique is done in a sitting position then take a deep breath and hold it for 3 seconds then exhale accompanied by silently saying the word or prayer that has been chosen, carried out with a duration of 10-15 minutes 1 time a day for 3 days. Of the case study showed a decrease in the pain scale in post sectio caesarea patients with the Benson relaxation technique on the first day before the Benson relaxation technique was carried out on the 5 to 3 day pain scale after the Benson relaxation technique the pain scale decreased to a pain scale 1. Of the Benson relaxation technique can be reduce surgical wound pain in post partum patients with sectio caesarea from moderate pain scale to mild pain scale
