Abstract

Stroke is a neurological disorder that can result in loss of motor function in patients, which can result in weakness or hemiparesis in motoric skills in patients. One of the consequences of stroke patients is experiencing weakness in the part of the body affected by the stroke, which can cause imbalance and difficulty walking due to disturbances in muscle strength, balance, and motoric coordination. The purpost of this reseach  is determine the effect of Range of Motion (ROM) exercise intervention on the risk of falls in post-stroke patients at the Neurology Clinic Sultan Imanuddin Hospital. This research method uses quantitative research with Quasy experiments. Respondents in this study were 40, with the technique of determining the sample being a purposive sampling technique. The study was conducted using observation sheets and providing interventions statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the Wilcoxon test obtained a p-value = 0.004 < = 0.05, so it was concluded that accepted. There was an effect of Range of Motion (ROM) exercise intervention on the falls risk in post-stroke patients at the Neurology Clinic Sultan Imanuddin Hospital. Range of Motion (ROM) exercise intervention can reduce the falls risk in post-stroke patients non hemorrhagic.
