ABSTRACT
Sexual violence is a form of behavior that leads to unexpected sexual acts that cause negative reactions such as shame, anger, hatred, offense and so on in the victims. The 2020 Annual Report of the National Commission on Violence against Women recorded sexual violence in educational environments in several regions of Indonesia in the form of violence in dating, molestation and rape. Most victims are not aware that they have become victims of sexual violence, do not dare to report because of fear of unwanted negative impacts or the ineffectiveness of the protection system for victims of sexual violence. Several factors greatly influence a person’s understanding of sexual violence behavior, including the level of knowledge that van shape person’s attitude and self-awareness toward incidents of sexual violence. The aim of this community service is to increase adolescent awareness in preventing sexual violence, and it is hoped that it can contribute to government programs in preventing and overcoming sexual violence against children. The method in this activity begins with identifying incidents of sexual violence in adolescents, followed by a pretest and education about sexual violence, ending with a post test and evaluation. The results obtained were an increase in pretest and posttest scores by 5 points. The conclusion in this community service is that education can increase adolescent knowledge about sexual violence which is expected to increase their awareness in preventing incidents of sexual violence.
